Siege and Storm comes out today (!) by the marvelous and creative Leigh Bardugo, and while I’m waiting patiently to get my hands on a copy of the much talked-about sequel to Shadow and Bone, I’ve devoured the novella that Tor Books released today to celebrate, called The Too-Clever Fox (which you can read online for free). It’s a companion folk tale to Siege and Storm, in the same vein as Bardugo’s earlier short story, The Witch of Duva. What a fantastic way to add texture to an already captivating world! It certainly whetted my apetite for more Ravka, and I love the cover illustrations by the Balbusso sisters. Pure magic…

It’s great! I kind of wish she’d release a whole book of her Ravkan folktales…
