One of the stories that never left me was ‘The Enchanted Pig’. I think it is in ‘The Grey Fairy Book’. It’s a vaatriion on ‘Beauty and the Beast’ but much more complex and intriguing. I’ll never forget the princess, ragged and exhausted, climbing up a glass mountain with her baby strapped to her back so that she could find her husband again.
Cool, I haven’t read that story but I’ll have to check it out.
